I met up with mr. m for his 3 month session with his grandparents! The love that this little boy has in his life is so beautiful. He is one lucky boy to have this much love!! When we were done with the grandparents we took mom and dad for a few pictures too :)

I absolutely love this couple! I had my fingers crossed the minute we met that they would choose me to photograph their wedding :) They are fun and exciting and I could tell this was going to be a great day!! The rain came down every time we stepped inside a building and then stopped when we headed outdoors. It was a truly beautiful day.

I had to share this shot of my handsome husband! I took it when we spent 4 hours in Kelowna last weekend while picking up our youngest from his first week of camp. He loved it! If any of you are looking for a great experience for your children you should check out this amazing camp!

I am so behind on blogging! I have so much great stuff to share over the next few weeks. I had attempted to take July off this year but, I took on a few extra projects as well as finishing up a couple weddings and *poof* July is half gone. The image above is a test shot of my new fun background...it will be super cute for babies and children!! I have some exciting stuff happening to my studio in the next few months and I can't wait to have it all done. I am picking out my new floor today and adding some fun new backgrounds.

The day we skipped school

On Friday we pulled the kids out of school early and drove into North Van. The pro skateboarders from Plan B were going to be signing autographs at the West 49 in Park Royal.

My oldest son would love to be just like Ryan Sheckler when he gets older so, when we heard he was coming to sign autographs we knew we had to be there :) We waited in line with piles of people for 2 hours....while we were waiting West 49 handed out free shirts and stickers. We also scored these sweet Etnies sunglasses and a Red Dragon cell phone case. The kids had a great time and were grinning from ear to ear all day. Thank you to West 49 for putting this signing on!! You have made an incredible memory for my kids :) Totally worth skipping school

This family truly inspires me. The love they have for each other is something quite amazing. I was honored to be a part of their celebration! The ceremony was a beautiful, heartfelt moment where family and love was the focus.

A new year begins!

I can't believe another year is over! I hope everyone had a fantastic and safe New Year's Eve.

I am starting this year off at the ballet this afternoon :) My husband bought us tickets to The Nutcracker for Christmas!!

2010 was a lot of fun and a lot of new stuff happened. Buying our first house was on the top of the list of exciting things! We added three new members to our family...two dogs and a snake :) We have made some wonderful new friends and spent time with some of our favorite old friends.

For 2011 there will be some changes and I am excited for some more personal stuff. I said it last year but, I didn't followed through. I am in need of more personal photography in my life. Something to keep me inspired and in love with my camera :)

I am excited to start making 2011 memories! This is going to be a great year!! Thank you to all that made 2010 so special for me.

It's Christmas Eve and I am enjoying the silence of the house for a few final minutes :) When the kids get up it will be noisy and energetic until Boxing Day. I thought it would never come and some days Christmas seemed to come so fast. We had a wonderful Christmas party at a friends last night and family coming today and tomorrow. It is weird how much effort we put in to see everyone for this one holiday. Why don't we put effort in all year round?

Every Christmas I seem to decorate my tree in a different color. First I had a traditional green tree with red and gold ornaments then I switched to a white tree with turquoise and lime green, last year was all black and white (if you have been in my house recently you would understand the b&w...I have a crazy obsession) this year though I wanted a little warmer and a little more soft feel so I went with a white, silver and gold tree :) It is beautiful! I think next year I may do an all white and silver tree with a touch of green.

Anyways, I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday with friends and family. I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas!!!

Road trip to Calgary ~ Surrey Photographer

On Thursday night we got a call from my husbands work...they needed more tiles in Calgary and the only tiles were here in BC. So...we decided to take the trip as an adventure. The boys had no idea what it would be like to be in a car for 10 hours at a time but, they were excited.

Thank goodness for DVD and video games. It was dark by the time we got to the Rockies and there wasn't much to look at on the way there.

The Banff Springs Hotel is one of the most impressive hotel I have ever seen. I am absolutely making a trip back up to stay there sometime.

We stopped in Golden on the way home to check out a Wolf education center. Jake didn't want anymore pictures taken and he wouldn't open his eyes :)

There were 6 different wolves. They offer a photography excursion with one or two wolves. No boundaries...just you and the wolves for an hour and a half. I would like to go back in winter to experience it!

The last time I have been this way I was 6 and don't remember any of it. The mountains are stunning and we had the most beautiful weather possible.

I am normally the driver of the family but, after driving 9 hours of the trip on Friday and a few hours Sunday morning I decided to take a break. I get bored sitting in the passenger seat so I decided to play with some long exposures :) My husband couldn't figure out what I was doing with all the clicking.

Almost all of these pictures were taken from the passenger seat of the car. Made the time go by faster :) If you have not done a road trip like this I strongly encourage you to. We have some of the most gorgeous places right in our own backyard.

An absolutely fantastic day! T & C have so much love for each other :) The ceremony was led by the brides brother which added a very personal touch. The speeches at the reception were so loving and absolutely perfect. T & C had made the most amazing slideshow video I had ever seen...It was a biography channel episode about their relationship. 8 years goes by so fast

Eight years ago today I married the most amazing man! He has put up with all my crazies and my days of being not so nice. He has been there for me through all my wishes and wants. There are so many reason why I love this man!

This morning I woke up to find a new charm for my new bracelet :) Now I carry carry around his hugs & kisses with me wherever I go.

Owls in West Kelowna

While I was up in West Kelowna last month for a wedding I spent a few days at my dad's. My dad lives right on the beach and there is this family of owls that live there. A mom and 3 babies...I don't know if they liked me taking their picture but, who could resist :) They stare at you in this really creepy way. My youngest son and I went on a treasure hunt and found some owl pellets and a whole Robin's egg. Quite an adventure!

I photographed their wedding and now I have had the joy of photographing this little angel several times over the past 3 years. I hope that everything goes smoothly in the addition of a new baby :)

L & A are two of the cutest little men! We started in my studio and then ventured out to a nearby park. The one thing about the 16-24 month stage is there is a lot of "no's" in their vocabulary :) No I don't want to swing...no I don't want to look at you. But, I managed to trick him for a few shots!
